Congratulations to Community Project team!
Becci is going on The Wolf radio breakfast show today to discuss the fashion show……. and how much was raised for the Hospice. a fantastic £800
The audience for the show was made up of a wide cross section of people , many of whom had no connection to the school but went away that evening with such positive comments about the quality and professionalism of the show.
As project co-ordinator for the community project I am immensley proud of the students who work on projects. Their enthusiasm ,talents and creativity cannot be praised highly enough.
How important it is to actively support them and be there for them. It is a privilege to be working with them, for all of us.
Watch this space for our future plans

Engineering Education Scheme..May 3rd 2011
EES Celebration and assesment day at Cranmore Park, Solihull May 3rd 2011
The photos show our Engineering Education scheme student team , made up of four Year 12 students .Dominic Price,(Team leader),Jessica Reynolds,Jake Hirst and Dan Ward.
The project was a great success and students were praised for their hard work and final project solution. Each of the students have been awarded the Gold Crest award which will support the students UCAS application.
The students project was sponsored and set by RAF Cosford and the students had to design and make a towing arm and strain indicator for pulling planes. They learned some valuable skills including communication, presentation skills, problem solving and time management.
The project started in October 2010 and was completed six months later. The making of the strain indicator took place at Birmingham University over a 3 day residential in December.
Well done……….you did us proud! Watch this space for next years project.
